    Good afternoon,

    I was just wondering what some of you may do in this scenario:

    — Single Family Home was changed from a State Code 01 to a State Code 05 in 2008.
    I just received a Zoning Cert stating subject property is a legal non-conforming Single family
    Dwelling. The Zoning Cert is dated 10/12/21.

    Current Owners, who purchased the property in 2020, asked their daughter to call to request the
    Use be changed back to State Code 01 so Public Works would be able to assign garbage bins to the
    property. Also saying it is no longer being used as small business, strictly residential and her
    parents are living there.

    I was planning on scheduling a field inspection next week. If this calls for a Use change, I would
    make it for 12/31/2022. Would anyone make this change for 12/31/2021? Would anyone’s process
    include additional steps? Thank you, Mark!!

    I would just change the use code as of the date of inspection which in my opinion would be effective as of the change date. Not sure DOA matters too much. Just make a note of the situation.
