Did you all see Senate President Ruggerio and his wish to complete the phase out this year? He claimed the State has the funds to end this one year early?

Even for East Providence? We have 2 more years.

I think you may have one more year.

Yes, that is what I figured because of our budget.

In the past few days I have been told by a little birdie that the phase out has a good chance of happening THIS year. Since we may not know for sure by the time we prepare for tax bill mailing, has anyone thought of delaying their MV bills? Has anyone heard of anything different?

i AM GOING TO HOLD BACK ON BILLING AS WE DID IN 2020. THE NIGHTMARE OF HAVING TO REFUND ANY THAT PAY PRIOR TO THE SESSION ENDING IS NOT WORTH THE HEADACHE. THE CAVEAT IN THE LAW STATES AS FUNDED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY.

    Agree 100%
Not sending bills until the budget is codified and I know exactly how to or if we will even bill at all.

Does anyone have an update on this? Rumors that the MV Tax will be phased out THIS year?
